Rajagara farmers enjoys highest ever prices they are getting for their produce

Gandhinagar: The farmers who produced Rajagra on their farms are happy with the historically high payment they are getting for their produce this year. The farmers got prices of over Rs 1600 per mann (20 Kg) for selling Rajgira (amaranth) at Bhildi market yard in Deesa taluka of Banaskantha district.
Bhildi market yard reported the arrival of 406 sacks of Rajgira daily. The farmers get prices of Rs 1510 to Rs 1557 per mann for selling rajgara. Some merchants stated that there is a significant demand for rajagara in other countries, which resulted in higher export.
