Surat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the largest diamond bourse of the world in Surat, said state BJP chief CR Patil in his address at Surat Airport after launching three flights of Air Asia from Surat. Air Asia, an airline operated by TATA group, started daily flights to Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata from Surat Airport on Friday.

State BJP chief CR Patil while addressing the launch of these flights said that the work of building the largest diamond bourse in the world is 100 per cent completed and PM Modi will inaugurate it in the upcoming days. International flights will be started from Surat Airport connecting locations including Dubai, he said.

Over 4000 diamond merchants running their business nationally and internationally have collaboratively completed this project, he said. International flights will be started from Surat airport considering the increase in international passengers due to the diamond bourse, he added. DeshGujarat
