Unseasonal rain in parts of Gujarat for next 5 days: IMD

Gandhinagar: The weather department of the central government has forecasted the possibility of rainfall in various parts of Gujarat from today until March 8th, for the next five days.

According to the IMD bulletin, “Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Banaskantha, Ahmedabad, Dang, Tapi and Vadodara; in the districts of Saurashtra- Kutch namely Surendranagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli and Kutch” on 4th March.

On 5th March, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Dang and Tapi.”

On 6th March, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Dang, Tapi and Narmada.”

On 7th March, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Dahod, Narmada, Dang, Tapi and Chhota Udepur; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Rajkot, Gir Somnath and Junagadh.”

On 8th March, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Dang, Tapi and Narmada; in the districts of SaurashtraKutch namely Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Kutch.”
