Paper leak incidents painful for us; New law provisions strict punishment: CM

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today gave appointment letters to candidates selected through GPSC & Subordinate Services Selection Board.

While addressing the function CM said, “Those from older generations sitting here very well know that those who had a connection to ministers would surely avail government jobs in the past. However, today when you ask anyone of such a thing, you get a 100% reply that knowing someone influential doesn’t ensure you a permanent job in government.”

Talking about the paper leak CM Patel said, “It’s painful for us when the question paper (for competitive exams) is leaked… but Government has brought a law for strict punishment to such elements… The paper leaks cause harassment to you also. He also asked the candidate seating in the audience, how many times did they face paper leaks, to which they replied, Five times.”

“You would think this man is advising you because he has become CM, but it’s not like that… We also stayed in steel roofed house and slowly and gradually reached this stage…You may face troubles but you must not deviate from the moral path. The moral value must stay intact,” CM Patel told the candidates that were getting appointment letters for government jobs. DeshGujarat’
