Gandhinagar: The weather department of the central government has issued a warning of a heatwave in parts of the Saurashtra-Kutch region until March 11th. IMD has also forecasted the possibility of rainfall in various parts of Gujarat on March 13th-14th.

According to the IMD bulletin, “Heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Porbandar, Gir-Somnath, and Kutch,” on March 10th-11th.

On March 12th, “Dry weather very likely in all the districts of the Gujarat region, Saurashtra-Kutch, and in Diu, Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli.”

On March 13th, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30-40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan, Dahod, Mehsana, Chhota-Udepur, Narmada, Tapi, and Dang; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Amreli, Rajkot, Porbandar, and Kutch.”

On March 14th, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30-40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Dahod, Chhota-Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Valsad, Navsari, and Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Amreli, Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, and Kutch.”
