Gandhinagar: The weather department of the central government has forecasted the possibility of rainfall in various parts of Gujarat during the whole week starting Monday, March 13th till Friday, March 17th.

According to the IMD bulletin, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Bharuch, Surat, Narmada, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli, on March 13th.

On 14th March, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Bharuch, Surat, Narmada, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli.”

On 15th March, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Bharuch, Surat, Narmada, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli. Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light to moderate rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Kutch.”

On 16th March, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light to moderate rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of in all the districts of Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli. Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface wind 30- 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Saurashtra namely Surendranagar, Botad and Bhavnagar.”

On 17th March, “Light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar Dahod, Dang and Tapi. Light rain/thundershower very likely in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Amreli, Bhavnagar and Kutch.” The IMD bulletin further adds that Ahmedabad to very likely witness a partly cloudy sky.
