Mill owner held in Surat for industrial use of subsidized urea

Surat: The crime branch apprehended the owner of Radhe Radhe Mill for the illegal use of urea fertilizer in Pandesara, Surat.

On 6th February, Surat agriculture officer Vishalkumar Rameshbhai Korat and a police team raided the house of the accused, Satyendrasinh Rajeshsinh Balramsinh Rajput, in plot no 456 in Jay Ambe Nagar society in Pandesara. They discovered that he had stored 52 bags of 50 kg each of subsidized neem-coated urea for industrial purposes, rather than agricultural usage, at his home. The Pandesara police filed a complaint and conducted an investigation. On 19th February, the police arrested the accused Satyendrasinh Rajput (33 years old) and Ibrahimbhai Ismailbhai Vhora (36 years old), who had obtained the urea from a person named Kundan Mishra.

The crime branch then took over the investigation and analyzed the accused’s mobile phone records. Subsequently, Sonu Maheshchandra Agrawal, the mill owner (36 years old), who primarily hails from Karoli, Rajasthan and resides in Celebrity Green, Vesu and Iscon Platinum, Bopal, Ahmedabad, was apprehended by the crime branch along with Kundan Dineshbhai Mishra (26 years old), a coal merchant residing in B/701, Silicone Parm, Dindoli, and primarily from Jonpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Sonu Agrawal had used the space in front of Satyendrasinh’s house as a godown to store the urea, and the latter worked as a security supervisor at Radhe Radhe Mill. Within five days of taking over the investigation, the crime branch apprehended the two additional accused. DeshGujarat
