Narmada project to be completed by 2025 at a cost of Rs 79,000 crores

Gandhinagar: The Narmada project will be completed by 2025, at a cost of around Rs 79,000 crore, stated cabinet minister Rushikesh Patel in the Gujarat assembly.
He also stated that the missing links and pending work of sub-minor pipelines in the Kutch branch canal distribution structure will be finished before 2025, and Rs 1,082 crore have been allocated for the same.
The remaining works of canal networks after March 2023 will be continued in 2023-24, with a provision of Rs 3,734 crore made for the financial year 2023-24.
Additionally, Rs 675 crore have been allocated for the extension, maintenance, and handling of pumping stations of the Kutch and Saurashtra branch canals. Moreover, Rs 3,283 crore will be spent on canal construction. DeshGujarat
