Unseasonal rainfall to continue in Gujarat: IMD

Gandhinagar: Central Government’s weather department India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted further unseasonal rains in parts of Gujarat till March 22nd.
According to the IMD bulletin, ” Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind less than 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light to moderate rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Ahmedabad, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Valsad and in Dadara Nagar Haveli; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Surendranagar, Botad, Jamnagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Kutch,” on March 18th.
On March 19th, Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind less than 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Ahmedabad, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada and Dang; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli and Bhavnagar.
On March 20th, Dry weather very likely in all the districts of Gujarat region, Saurashtra-Kutch and in Diu Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
On March 21st, Light rain/thundershowers very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Dahod, Vadodara, Dang and Tapi; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Dwarka and Kutch.
On March 22nd, Light to Moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Dahod and Dang; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Dwarka and Kutch.
