Elderly man walks backwards 625 km to seek blessings of Dwarkadhish for country’s welfare

Dwarka: An elderly cowherd from Narsipur village in Godhra has walked backwards about  625 km from his hometown in Godhra to Dwarka, wishing for the welfare of all the countrymen.

Lakhabhai Gadhvi, from the village of Narasinhpur in the Godhra district, set out on foot from his homeland on February 18th to seek the blessings of Lord Dwarkadhish, covering a distance of approximately 625 kilometers to reach Dwarka a month later. He completed his pilgrimage to Dwarka in one month and two days.

Gadhvi began this journey in honour of those who died from COVID-19, deceased cows, and for the welfare of the country.

After arriving in Dwarka, he took a holy bath in the Gomti river. He also hoisted the flag atop Jagat Mandir and sought the blessings of Dwarkadhish.

Valabhai will leave for the Somnath temple from Dwarka to complete his journey of 850 kilometers.

Wala Bhai stated that in his journey, helpers from villages, including Surendranagar and Rajkot, are assisting him in his service. An elderly person has also joined him in the padyatra.
