Mehsana: Cybercriminals threatened a young man from Mehsana by creating nude videos of his wife using her documents after he attempted to obtain a loan from an online application using her documents, but only received an incomplete loan.

A young man residing in Laghnaj in Mehsana downloaded the “Smart Wallet” application on February 24th onto his phone. He selected the “go money” option in the app and submitted his wife’s documents. Despite following the process for obtaining a loan of Rs. 30,000, only Rs. 1,800 were deposited into his wife’s account. He then clicked on the chat option to inquire about the incomplete loan.

Following this, the young man began receiving calls from unknown numbers for loan recovery. The accused cyber criminals made calls and sent messages to him from five different numbers. They created a morphed nude photograph of the young man’s wife using her documents and sent it via WhatsApp. The accused then threatened to share the photo with others if the money was not paid.

The young man filed a complaint with the Mehsana cyber crime police. DeshGujarat
