Gujarat likely to get relief from unseasonal rain after March 23: IMD

Gandhinagar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), the central government’s weather department, has predicted that parts of Gujarat will continue to experience unseasonal rains during this week until March 23rd after that the state is expected to get relief from unseasonal rain.

According to the IMD bulletin, Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface wind less than 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Ahmedabad, Anand, Aravalli, Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha, Bharuch, Dangs, Narmada, Navsari, Surat and Tapi; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, Dwarka, Porbandar, Rajkot and Kutch,” on March 21st. 

On March 22nd, “Light rain/thundershowers very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Patan; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Dwarka, Rajkot and Kutch.”

On March 23rd, “Light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind less than 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied with light to moderate rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Patan; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Dwarka, Porbandar and Kutch” DeshGujarat
