Sabarmati: Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi paid a ‘sudden and surprise’ visit to Sabarmati central jail. The visit lasted for two hours, as per the note released by the government.

 

The minister as per the note visited various barracks, a kitchen, a hospital, and various facilities provided to prisoners during his visit.

 

He also visited Mahatma Gandhi Yard and Sardar Yard which are developed in memories of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who were jailed there.

The minister held a meeting with the officers of the jail and asked them to create an action plan for deradicalizing the prisoners. The minister made necessary suggestions to higher officials as per the note. DeshGujarat
