Second meeting of ECSWG group of G20 to take place in Gandhinagar during 27-29 March

Gandhinagar: The second meeting of the Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group (ECSWG) will take place in the green city Gandhinagar from 27th march to 29th march.
The 3-day meet will be inaugurated by G20 sherpa Amitabh Kant. The officials and experts of various domains will be present at the meeting. The representatives of various international organizations will be present at the meeting. A delegation of 30 countries will also participate in the meeting.
The meeting will start on 27th march with a series of presentations on ‘Best Practices in Water Resources Management’. The participants will be then taken on a visit to various places in electric buses which includes Adalaj Vav, Sabarmati canal siphon and escape structure, and Atal bridge. The state government will then hold a Gala dinner and cultural program at the Sabarmati riverfront.
The technical sessions will be held on various topics on climate and environment on 28th march such as: 1. climate resilient infrastructure 2. groundwater management 3. Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachh Bharat- Universalization of Water Sanitation and Hygiene and its effects 4. proposed Gandhinagar Implementation Roadmap (GIR) on land restoration related to climate change mitigation 5. resource efficiency and circular economy. The technical sessions on oceans, blue economy, and related sectors will be held on the last day- 29th march.
The key theme of the sessions will be Water Resource Management. The second theme is LiFE (Lifestyle for the environment) The delegation will visit Dandi Kutir on 29th march. DeshGujarat
