Gujarat govt inks MoU with Google

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for an “important strategic partnership” with the global renown company Google here.

According to a note released by the State government, the MoU is for training to annually 50,000 women, school children, and young entrepreneurs. They shall be trained for the readiness of social-economical change through the use of information technology. The training will increase digital literacy in rural women and give a boost to capacity building and skilling among youths.

The MoU was signed by Google India’s country head and vice president Sanjay Gupta and the government of Gujarat’s Science & Technology secretary Vijay Nehra. DeshGujarat
