Indigo takes trial of 3-door disembarkation at SVPI airport in Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar: Leaving the aircraft after its landing and subsequent halt can be a faster and smoother affair if this experiment becomes the new normal. Private-run Indigo airlines attempted 3-door disembarkation (two front doors located opposite each other and one rear exit) at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel airport in Ahmedabad. The airport staff assisted Indigo’s 3-door disembarkation for the first time. The trial was performed on the gE 6727 flight from Hyderabad to Ahmedabad. Indigo had last year in a statement announced that disembarkation procedure will be implemented on IndiGo’s A320 and A321 fleet for flights arriving at remote stands at Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru airports to begin with, and will be progressively deployed across the network. Indigo had also claimed that it would be the first airline in the world to use this process. DeshGujarat
