New MRI machine to be dedicated at GG Hospital in Jamnagar on Mar 26

Gandhinagar: New MRI machine will be dedicated at Guru Govindsingh Sarkari Hospital (GG Hospital) in Jamnagar on Sunday, said the state health minister Rushikesh Patel in response to MLA’s question.

In the state assembly, Jamnagar MLA Divyeshbhai Akbari asked about the new MRI machine and 87 vacant positions in the medical college at GG Hospital in Jamnagar. State health minister Rushikesh Patel replied that the new MRI machine costing Rs. 12 to 13 crore will be dedicated on Sunday, March 26, at GG Hospital in Jamnagar. Patel also informed that the 87 vacant positions, including 11 professors of class 1, 18 associate professors, and 58 assistant professors, remain vacant due to not finding suitable candidates. Additionally, class 3 posts such as superintendent, stenographer, steno typist, and laboratory technician are also vacant due to the absence of suitable candidates.

The GPSC has recommended 300 candidates for an appointment with direct recruitment out of 750 vacant positions for which application forms were sent to GPSC on October 22 and 23, 2019. DeshGujarat
