Gandhinagar to get two flyovers; Road to Mansa to be widened

Gandhinagar: The capital town of Gujarat will get new flyover bridges at Pethapur and PDPU junctions. R&B minister Jagdish Vishwakarma made this announcement in the State assembly during the discussion on budget demands for the department.

The decision to build the flyovers was made after studying traffic issues in those areas. The estimated cost of the flyover at Pethapur junction is Rs 40 crore, while at PDPU junction, it is Rs 50 crore. The Minister expressed confidence that the flyovers will resolve the traffic issues.

The minister further said that Gandhinagar K-7 Randheja-Balwa-Mansa road, which is currently in need of renovation, will be strengthened with a four-lane width at a cost of Rs 40 crore. Moreover, the Pethapur-Randheja road will be widened to four-lane at a cost of Rs. 40 crore.

The Minister also declared that 1738 new residential accommodations of various levels will be built at a cost of Rs 400 crore in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad. The construction of Sadasya Niwas for MLAs in Gandhinagar is already in progress at a cost of Rs 247 crore in sector 17. Additionally, the Minister said that the construction of a cable-stayed bridge at Gandhinagar Koba Aerodram road, with an estimated cost of around Rs 135 crore, is also underway. DeshGujarat
