Rajkot: In another case of stray dog menace a middle-aged woman died here in the city on Thursday.
Nayna Gondaliya, aged 50, was riding on a motorbike with her husband to a religious event when a stray dog began chasing their bike. The dog grabbed onto Nayna’s sari, causing her to fall off the bike and sustain head injuries. She was taken to a private hospital and then transferred to Civil Hospital, where she passed away.
The police have filed a case of accidental death and sent Nayna’s body for postmortem. Rajkot has a high number of reported dog bite incidents every year, but the Rajkot Municipal Corporation claims to have sterilized over 90% of dogs in the city over the past 10 years. DeshGujarat
