Gujarat govt to approve 5 new private universities, bringing state total to 108

Gandhinagar: The state government is set to approve 5 new private universities, bringing the total number of universities in the state to 108.
These universities will be approved under the Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Act 2023 in the current state assembly session.
The Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University will receive approval for the Chimanbhai Patel Institute campus of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Education Trust in Ahmedabad. Additionally, the Gyanmanjari University of Gyan Mudra Education Foundation in Bhavnagar, Sigma University of the Sigma Institute of Technology College Group in Vadodara Waghodia, Rajju Shroff Rofel University of Rotary Foundation for Education Group in Vapi, and KN University of Ahmedabad Mahavira Education Trust will also receive approval.
