Shifting of windmills close to Hirasar airport to be completed by March 31st

Rajkot: The shifting of the seven windmills causing barriers for plane landing close to the under-construction Hirasar airport will end by March 31st.

Construction of the greenfield international airport at Hirasar, located on the Rajkot Ahmedabad Highway, is currently underway, with plans for the airport’s inauguration at the hands of the Prime Minister in July this year. Shifting of seven windmills that can obstruct the plane landings is expected to be completed by March 31st.

According to local Prant officer Sandip Varma, the shifting of five windmills has already been completed. The construction of a 1 km road was delayed due to issues surrounding the land acquisition. The issue has since been resolved, and the construction of the road is now nearing completion. DeshGujarat
