ACB Gujarat nabs a cop in bribe case

Chhota Udepur: The Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) in Gujarat has arrested the assistant head constable of Zoz police station in Chhota Udepur for accepting a bribe of Rs 10 thousand.

The accused, Parabsing Narsing Rathwa, demanded the bribe from the complainant to release his brother-in-law, who was arrested at Zoz police station under IPC section 325, 504, 506(2), and GP Act section 135 for a criminal offense.

The complainant, unwilling to pay the bribe, approached the ACB for help. The ACB then set up a trap to catch the accused in the act of taking the bribe. During the trap, the accused was caught red-handed accepting the bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant. The ACB has detained the accused and is conducting further investigations in the matter.
