Amul increases pay by Rs. 20 for buffalo milk producers; Rs. 9 for cow milk

Anand: Amul dairy has implemented a pay hike of Rs. 20 per kg fat in buffalo milk for milk producers effective today.
The Kheda District Milk Producer Cooperative Union- Amul Dairy Union board meeting was held under the leadership of Chairman Vipulbhai Patel. Milk producers will now receive Rs. 820 per kg fat instead of Rs. 800 per kg fat for buffalo milk. Additionally, a pay hike of Rs. 9 per kg fat has been implemented for cow milk effective from 1st April. Milk producers will receive Rs. 363.60 per kg fat instead of Rs. 354.60 per kg fat due to the pay hike for cow milk.
It has also been decided to provide accidental death insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh to milk producers. This will directly benefit 7 lakh milk producers in Anand, Kheda, and Mahisagar.
Amul dairy has also implemented a price hike of Rs. 1 on 500 ml packs of milk effective from today. Amul had previously implemented a price hike of Rs. 2 per liter of milk on 17th August 2022. DeshGujarat
