Vadodara: Three accused allegedly tried to snatch the rifle of an SRP (State Reserve Police) jawan after attacking him at the deep point of Dhuldhoya Vad area in Vadodara on the day of Ram Navmi.

There is a deep point of SRP in the Pada Khana area of Dhuldhoyavad in Fatepura. SRP jawan Pankaj Himmansinh Bariya was present at the deep point, on duty at 5.30 pm near the gate behind the dargah. The three accused identified as Rashid Sattarbhai Shaikh, Bittu Rafiqbhai Bangali, and Mohsin rushed there from the street near the Masjid. They had a fight with the SRP jawan and slapped him. They tried to snatch the rifle from his shoulder but escaped from there after another SRP jawan arrived.

During the checking of the CCTV footage, the police saw a clip of the incident recorded on the CCTV camera. The Varsiya police filed a complaint based on the SRP jawan’s statement. DeshGujarat
