Gandhinagar: Coneman Kiran Patel has been booked in another case in Ahmedabad City police’s Crime Branch under sections 406, 420 and 170. This latest complaint against Kiran has been filed by Event managers Dr. Hardik Kishor and Liladhar Chandarana.

According to the complaint, Kiran had introduced himself as PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) officer and told that he was handed over the responsibility of Kashmir’s development. He had also given visiting card through Whatsapp claiming himself as Additional Director in PMO. Patel told that he would manage to assign a big event in Kashmir. He organized an event in the Hyatt Hotel on Ashram Road under the banner of the G20 summit. The complainant had to bear the cost of Rs. 1,91,514 over this event and Rs. 1,60,000 as airfare to Srinagar and the room cost of Lalit Hotel. Patel didn’t pay this money and committed fraud.

An event manager Hardik Chandarana has in his complaint stated that he runs RX event company. In January 2023, Kiran Patel called him over the phone and told he was planning an event for which he wanted to give an event management order to RX event. Kiran then visited RX event office and sent the names of the guests over Whatsapp. Hyatt Hotel on Ashram Road was decided as the venue of the event. When asked, Kiran said he was working with the PMO office and he was assigned the task of development of Kashmir. Kiran promised that he would manage to assign a big event of a medical conference in Kashmir to RX event. Kiran also Whatsapped a visiting card mentioning himself as Additional Director (Strategy & Campaign), PMO, New Delhi, Res. 34, Meena Baug Flatgs, Opp Vigyan Bhavan, Off Janpath road, New Delhi 110001.

Aa complainant further stated in his complaint that he became ready to take up the event. Later Kiran made a WhatsApp group namely 29th Event @Hyatt and added him as a member. Kiran then sent the names and photos of chief guests and also asked bo create a banner for G20 Summit: Scope and Priorities for various industries. RX event then created a poster and the event was held on 29th January at Hyatt Regency Hotel on Ashram Road for which Rs. 1,91,514 payment worth payment was done by the complainant.

Later Kiran Patel told the complainant that he had to visit Kashmir from 8 to 10 February for which a room and air ticket were booked by the complainant as per the instruction of Kiran. A complainant and Kiran Patel went to Srinagar and stayed in Lalit Palace for which Rs. 1.60 lakh cost was paid by the complainant. Later on 10 February, Kiran showed the venue of the planned conference and told that it will be organized in the future there.
