Gujarat to experience more unseasonal rains through this week: IMD

Gandhinagar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted the possibility of unseasonal rain in parts of Gujarat throughout the week from April 26th (Wednesday) to April 30th (Sunday).

According to the IMD bulletin, “Light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Aravalli, Sabarkantha, Dang, Narmada, Surat, and Tapi, as well as in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Devbhoomi-Dwarka, Jamnagar, and Kutch,” on April 26th.

On April 27th, “Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds less than 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied by light rain are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Banaskantha, Dahod, Sabarkantha, Chhota Udepur, Dang, Narmada, Tapi, and Valsad, as well as in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Amreli and Bhavnagar, and Kutch.”

On April 28th, “Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds less than 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied by light to moderate rain are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha, Dang, Narmada, and Tapi, as well as in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, Devbhoomi-Dwarka, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Rajkot, and Kutch.”

On April 29th, “Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds less than 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied by light to moderate rain are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Ahmedabad, Aravalli, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Patan, Sabarkantha, Bharuch, Surat, and Vadodara, as well as in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Jamnagar, Morbi, Rajkot, and Surendranagar, and Kutch.”

On April 30th, “Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds less than 40 kmph (in gust) accompanied by light to moderate rain are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Aravalli, Dahod, Sabarkantha, Chhota Udepur, Dang, Narmada, and Tapi, as well as in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Amreli and Bhavnagar, and Kutch.” DeshGujarat
