Some Ex-Ministers still occupying Ministerial bungalows, alleges Gujarat Congress

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Congress has alleged that some former ministers have still not vacated their government-provided accommodations in the State capital Gandhinagar.
Addressing a press conference, Gujarat Congress Spokesperson Hemang Rawal stated “While Rahul Gandhi was compelled to relinquish his government bungalow after losing his parliamentary membership, former Gujarat ministers are supposedly still occupying their bungalows in Gandhinagar.”
“Purnesh Modi, a former minister who filed a criminal defamation case against Rahul Gandhi, is currently living in bungalow number 11 near Rajya Bhavan in the ministerial street, and his nameplate is still displayed outside, Rawal claimed.
According to Rawal, other former ministers, including Jitu Chaudhary, Kiritsinh Rana, and Vinubhai Mordia, have also not vacated their bungalows and continue to use them.
Claiming that public funds are being used to maintain these bungalows, Rawal also alleged that the current ministers are being forced to reside in circuit houses due to the unavailability of government bungalows caused by former ministers’ failure to vacate them.
Replying to Congress’s allegations, former minister Jitu Chaudhary said, “Renovation work was going on in the quarters assigned to newly elected MLAs. They will vacate the ministerial bungalows in a couple of days after getting possession of the MLA quarters.”
Jitu Chaudhary also commented that Congress does not have any substantive topics to discuss, so they are picking petty issues to do politics.
