AAP Gujarat chief Isudan Gadhvi in the soup over fake claim in tweet

Gandhinagar: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief of Gujarat, Isudan Gadhavi is in the soup over his two days old tweet that he deleted yesterday. Isudan Gadhavi for his misleading tweet with wrong information may attract action by Cyber Crime of Ahmedabad Police under IPC (Indian Penal Code) sections 153, 505(1)bc, 505/2 and IT (Information Technology) act section 67. An FIR has been filed against Isudan by the government and investigation is underway.

In his tweet, Isudan Gadhvi claimed: One day cost of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is Rs. 8.3 crore. So Rs. 830 crore money of taxpayers were smoked for 100 episodes of Mann Ki Baat.  BJP workers should wake up and need to protests this as mostly they only listen to this programme.

The content of the tweet was apparently fictitious as there are no such figures remotely available on record and the claims are not justified.

Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi in reply to a media query stated that any common person can walk in and submit an application at the police station when he finds something wrong has happened. Similarly, an application was submitted regarding a fake claim of Isudan Gadhvi in his tweet which he deleted later as he himself might have thought it was fake.  Isudan should answer whether he had some evidence to back his misleading claim. To mislead the people is something which can’t be allowed.

It is not the first time, Isudan is booked in a police case. Earlier he was booked in a prohibition case. Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) had in its report letter confirmed that Isudan was indeed drunk. DeshGujarat
