Surat BJP chief Sandip Desai steps down from the post

Surat: Following the principle of one-person-one-post, the Surat district chief of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), Sandip Desai has resigned from the post. Desai stepped down from the post of district BJP chief after his election as the Chairman of the Surat Agriculture Produce Market Committee (Surat APMC). Desai was made Surat district BJP chief in November 2020. He stepped down from the post after meeting the State BJP chief CR Patil. Desai is active in BJP for over three decades. He had been taluka BJP chief, district BJP youth wing chief, and district BJP general secretary in the past. The ruling party has in recent years executed the one-person-one-post principle. After the State assembly elections last year, several district unit chiefs have been replaced as part of the routine changes that take place in the organization time to time. DeshGujarat
