Vadodara: The forest department conducted a raid in the Baranpura area of the city and seized two turtles and 23 marine animals from a house.

Acting on a tip-off, the Gujarat Society for Prevention of Cruelty Animals and the forest department raided the house of Dharampur Rana and found two turtles and 23 sea creatures, including sea horses, mini sharks, octopuses, frogs, jellyfish and coral.

The raid was conducted by Rajesh Bhavsar and the team of the Gujarat Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. A case has been filed against the accused Dharampur Rana under sections of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 and further investigation is going on in the matter. DeshGujarat
