Palanpur: The Gujarat Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has apprehended the auditor of cooperative unions in Palanpur in connection with a bribery case involving Rs 50,000.

The complainant, who is the manager of a dairy in the village, reported that the Milk Audit Cooperative Department Office in Palanpur conducted the annual audit of the dairy. The accused auditor, Pravinkumar Joshi, allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant to avoid finding faults or causing any inconvenience during the audit.

Since the complainant was not willing to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB for assistance. During a well-executed trap by the ACB, the accused was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant. He has been apprehended and is currently under custody. DeshGujarat
