AMC starts demolition of a seven-story illegal building in Baherampura

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) teams on Wednesday started demolishing a seven-story illegal building named Nabinagar-6 in Baherampura locality near Chandola pond. The building was constructed without any permission from the AMC and was sealed six times in the past. However, the construction continued despite the seals. The demolition procedure was therefore executed under GPMC act.
The demolition was carried out under police protection of Danilimda Police Station. The AMC has said that it will continue to take action against illegal construction in the city. The civic body has also urged the residents to come forward and report any illegal construction in their areas.
The demolition of the illegal building in Baherampura is a positive step by the AMC. It is a clear message that the civic body will not tolerate illegal construction. This will help to ensure the safety of the residents and the city as a whole. DeshGujarat
