SMC razes graveyard and mosque prior to inauguration of Ved-Variav Bridge

Surat: The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) demolished a graveyard and a mosque at Vedroad ahead of the virtual inauguration of the Ved-Variav bridge on Thursday.
On Thursday, Chief Minister Patel will virtually inaugurate the Ved Variav Bridge. SMC teams, with strict police arrangements, demolished an old graveyard and a mosque located near the Vedroad side of the bridge to clear the area. The SMC’s Katargam zone team conducted the operation late at night, ensuring the operation remained confidential to prevent any untoward incidents.
The SMC teams successfully completed the operation with the support of the police. The demolition of the mosque and graveyard was carried out to clear a 200-meter area surrounding the Ved Variav bridge, removing any obstacles. DeshGujarat
