SIT formed to safeguard Morbi’s industries against fraud: MoS Sanghavi

Morbi: The Gujarat government hasset up the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to ensure the economic safety and security of Morbi’s industries. The SIT is effective from today, said Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi here in the city.
During a dialogue with businessmen in Morbi, Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi expressed the state government’s readiness to support Morbi in every possible way. The government is making dedicated efforts to transform Morbi’s ceramic industry into a global hub through the collaboration of other sectors. It was a collective demand from the industry sector to take decisive measures to ensure business safety. Therefore, the SIT has been established and is being implemented today to prevent any fraudulent activities that could harm Morbi’s industries.

Speaking about the SIT, Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi highlighted that it has created a separate legal framework specifically designed for industries. Comprehensive measures have been put in place to bring fraudsters to justice and protect businessmen. The SIT will take strict action against traders who receive goods from Morbi but fail to respond or make payment. Additionally, provisions have been made for the criminal prosecution of those who betray the trust of traders when goods are provided with confidence. The SIT aims to establish the reputation of the Gujarat Police and ensure that parties responsible for misconduct settle with the affected businessmen. DeshGujarat
