Nadiad: A Muslim youth namely Abdulla Akbar Momin from Changa in Central Gujarat has been arrested for abatement of suicide after a 22-year old Hindu girl from Dakor allegedly blackmailed and harassed by him committed suicide. Accused Abdulla has been sent on two days remand by the court.

A 22-year old Hindu girl was Nursing student in Nadiad. She would travel daily from Dakor to Nadiad for study. She was allegedly lured by Abdulla Momin and later harassed. On May 10, when the victim girl’s family was travelling, she was alone at home. On 12 May her dead body was found hanging at her home.

On 18 May when her parents checked daughter’s mobile phone, they found that one Abdulla Akbar Momin was blackmailing her. As per the records present in the mobile phone of the victim Hindu girl, Abdulla was threatening her while the victim girl was crying and pleading for mercy. DeshGujarat
