Son of PRO in Gujarat CMO dies in road accident; CM expresses grief

Vadodara: Vashishtha Vaishnav, son of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s Public Relation Officer (PRO) Uday Vaishnav passed away in a road accident near Dethan in Karjan taluka of Vadodara district in Central Gujarat on Saturday evening. Two other youths were injured in this incident.

Chief Minister Patel has in a tweet expressed grief over this. The deceased will be cremated at Antimdham in Gandhinagar on Sunday evening. At around 11.30 pm, Vashisht and two other youths were on their way from Bharuch to Gandhinagar in a car. They had stopped the car near Dethan in for a while when an unidentified vehicle hit the vehicle from the back. While Vashishtha died on the spot, two other youths were injured.

Karjan Police has filed complaint under IPC sections 279, 337, 304A and Motor Vehicle Act 177, 184, 134, 187.According to Jhaghadia based complainant Saurabh Kayasth, a friend of deceased, an unidentified vehicle on Bharuch-Vadodara highway hit an Innova car which was being checked by Vashishtha Udaybhai Vaishnav, Kalparaj Sikarvar and Sajidbhai. While Kaparaj and Sajidbhai suffered injuries, Vaishnav passed away on the spot.Complainant Saurabh Kayasth(27) received a phone call from Kalparaj Sikarvar’s father Rajiv Sikarvar informing that his son had suffered accident near Karjan toll plaza on national highway 48 connecting Bharuch to Vadodara. When Kayasth reached the spot, an Innova was standing on road-side with damage on the driver-side gate and rear portion.The Innova car GJ16AW8021 was owned by Kalparaj Sikarvar. Kayasth saw a dead body, lying next to the car which he identified as his friend Vashishtha Vaishnav’s.

When asked, a person namely Dharmil Parmar from Vadodara stated that three persons were checking an Innova car parked on road side near Dethan village and Shiv Laheri hotel when an unidentified vehicle hit them and escaped the place. While two injured persons were taken to a nearby medical facility in a 108 ambulance, the dead body of the deceased victim was put on the road side safely. DeshGujarat
