Surat Police uncover links between accused female and Pakistan accomplice in sextortion scam

Surat: Rander police in the Surat sextortion network scam case, have discovered connections between an accused female named Juhi Shaikh from Andhra Pradesh and an accomplice named Zulfikar from Pakistan.

Around 1.5 months ago, a female professor from Jahangirpura in Surat committed suicide. She was blackmailed by the threat of her morphed nude photos being made viral unless she paid loan installments. The police identified three accused involved in the scam from Jamui in Bihar: Abhishek Kumar Sing, Roshan Kumar Sing, and Saurab Gajendrakumar. These three individuals were apprehended in Bihar, and the court approved a 10-day remand for them. During the investigation, four more accused named Reshamkumar, Lakbir traders, Juhi Shaikh, and Sanatnu Jonghle were identified and declared as wanted. One of the wanted individuals, Juhi Shaikh, was arrested by the police in Andhra Pradesh. She resided in Vijayawada’s Panja center in Andhra Pradesh, and the police confiscated two passbooks and two mobile phones from her possession.

The accused, Juhi, maintained contact with the main accomplice, Zulfikar, from Pakistan. She would daily steal Rs 50,000 to 60,000 through her application and subsequently transfer the funds into cryptocurrency for sending them to Pakistan.
