Gujarat CM to visit Delhi on May 27-28

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will embark on a two-day visit to the national capital, Delhi, on May 27 and 28.

On Saturday, May 27th, CM Bhupendra Patel is scheduled to attend the meeting of Niti Ayog’s Governing Council. According to a statement by NITI Aayog, it will be hosting its 8th Governing Council Meeting on May 27, 2023, focusing on the theme of “Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Role of Team India.” The meeting will cover eight significant topics, including Viksit Bharat@2047, an emphasis on MSMEs, infrastructure and investments, reducing compliances, promoting women’s empowerment, improving health and nutrition, skill development, and implementing Gati Shakti for regional development and social infrastructure.

On Sunday, May 28th, CM Patel will take part in the inauguration of the new Parliament building in Delhi.

Earlier this month, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had a meeting with PM Modi and extended an invitation to him to inaugurate the new Parliament building. The foundation stone for the new Parliament building was laid by PM Modi on December 10, 2020. The building, which is estimated to have cost around Rs. 1000 crore, boasts a built-up area of approximately 65,000 sq. m.

A total of 25 parties, including non-NDA parties, are set to attend the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building on May 28. Among the NDA parties, attendees include the BJP, AIADMK, Apna Dal, the Republican Party of India, the Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena, the NPP, and the NPF. Neutral parties such as the Biju Janata Dal, TDP, and YSRCP have confirmed their presence. Opposition parties Shiromani Akali Dal, Bahujan Samajwadi Party, and JDS will attend as well.

On Monday, May 29, visitors to the Chief Minister’s Office in Gandhinagar will be received as per the usual practice. DeshGujarat
