According to the police, a complaint has been filed at Paldi police station in Ahmedabad, and the accused have confessed to their crime.

A total of eight accused individuals have been apprehended for Dhara’s murder in Chotila. The main culprits are Suraj Bhuvaji and Mit Shah. Suraj Solanki, also known as Suraj Bhuvaji, hails from Junagadh and gained popularity through his Instagram account. Suraj would beat himself with a chain and shake his head and body in apparent ‘devotion’ to the goddess, and videos of these acts went viral on Instagram. Dhara, like many others, came into contact with Suraj Solanki through Instagram. Dhara and Suraj were in a live-in relationship in Junagadh. Suraj Bhuvaji was married and had children. However, due to Dhara, Suraj couldn’t continue living with his family. Suraj desired to live with both Dhara and his wife together. Dhara had filed a rape complaint against Suraj. After an Instagram video war, the two reached a compromise and began living together in a live-in relationship in Junagadh.

According to the police, Suraj informed Dhara that they would need to visit Ahmedabad to meet with the lawyer for an ongoing case in the Gujarat High Court and finalize the compromise. While en route to Ahmedabad, Dhara was murdered near Chotila. She was suffocated to death, and her body was subsequently burned. Nevertheless, the police continued their investigation, and approximately 10 months after the incident, Suraj Bhuvaji and his accomplices are nabbed.

The well-planned plot of 19 June 2022 murder baffles everyone

Dhara Kadiwal left her home in Junagadh on June 19th, accompanied by Suraj Solanki, also known as Suraj Bhuvaji, and Ahmedabad-based Mit Shah. They left Junagadh in a car headed for Ahmedabad. According to Suraj and Mit’s initial statement to the Paldi police station, they claimed that they had arrived in Ahmedabad and dropped Dhara off at Mit’s house, while they themselves stayed at a hotel. On June 20th, Dhara voluntarily left Mit’s house and went missing. Suraj had provided a note to the police station. While they were at the Paldi police station, Suraj received a Whatsapp message on his mobile phone from Dhara, stating that she was leaving him forever and that police should not be approached. Suraj showed this message to the police and stated that he would no longer proceed with the note he had submitted at the police station after receiving this message.

Later, Dhara’s brother, whose name is also Meet and who lives in Junagadh, approached the Paldi police station and filed a complaint regarding Dhara’s disappearance.

The Paldi police were investigating the matter and recently made a breakthrough. On 19th June, Dhara left with Suraj and Mit. They had dinner in Chotila and then proceeded to Vatavaj village. Suraj is a native of this village. Suraj informed Dhara that they were going to meet a lawyer in Ahmedabad and he needs to collect fees from this village. At around 11 pm, they arrived outside the village. Suraj was in the driver’s seat, Dhara was sitting next to him, and Mit was in the back seat. Suraj left the driver’s seat and stated that he would return with fees and money. Subsequently, Suraj’s brother, Yuvraj, and his friend, Gunjan Joshi, arrived and initiated an argument with Dhara, urging her to leave Suraj permanently. A heated argument ensued. Mit, who was seated in the back seat, suffocated Dhara to death. The other accused also joined in, and they later carried her lifeless body to a nearby location. Suraj had already told Mukesh Solanki, to bring petrol for burning Dhara’s body. The accused gathered wood and grass from the vicinity and set fire to Dhara’s corpse outside the village, away from any witnesses.

Later, Suraj Solanki and Mit arrived in Ahmedabad in a car, while their friends Gunjan, Mukesh, and Yuvraj stayed behind to ensure that Dhara’s body was completely burnt. They joined them in Ahmedabad later.

While Suraj and Mit were en route to Ahmedabad, they reached Sanathal chokdi and called their friend, Sanjay Soheliya. Sanjay wore Dhara’s clothes and sat in the car to create the appearance of three people, including Dhara, on the CCTV cameras. They then proceeded to Mit Shah’s residence in the Thakor Vas area of Paldi. They informed Mit’s mother, Monaben, that they had killed Dharaben and planned to concoct a story that Dhara had gone missing. Suraj and Mit went to stay at the Kumkum Hotel, while Monaben wore Dhara’s clothes, carried a bag of Dhara’s belongings, and pretended to be Dhara. Early the next morning, at around 6 am, she left the house and reached Sanathal Chokdi. This entire scheme was devised to deceive the police through CCTV footage, making it appear as though Dhara had left Mit’s house in the morning.

Mit’s friend, Jugal Shah, switched off Dhara’s mobile and arrived at Sanathal chokdi. By that time, Yuvraj, Gunjan, and Mukesh Solanki had already reached Sanathal chokdi. Jugal Shah handed over Dhara’s mobile phone to them. Afterwards, Jugal and Mona returned to Thakor Vas in Paldi.

Gunjan, Yuvraj, and Mukesh, with Dhara’s mobile, traveled to Mumbai in a car. Near Vasai, Gunjan Joshi switched on Dhara’s mobile phone and sent a WhatsApp message to Suraj, pretending it was from Dhara. At that time, Suraj was present at the Paldi police station. Suraj showed the message to the police, implying that Dhara had willingly left him and disappeared.

The Paldi police station registered the complaint with a zero number. As the crime originated in Junagadh and most of the accused and victims were from Junagadh, the complaint and the accused were transferred to the Junagadh Police.
