Gandhinagar: GUJCOST (Gujarat Council on Science and Technology) will hold the National Grand Finale of the Gujarat STEM Quiz is being organized in the Vigyan Bhavan in Gujarat Science City, Ahmedabad on Tuesday, 30th May 2023.

A total of 1000 students from Std. IX to XII from across the country are coming to Gujarat Science City to participate in the grand finale of India’s biggest quiz on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) on May 30, 2023 (Tuesday) in a big way.

The Gujarat STEM Quiz witnessed an overwhelming response with a total of 5,45,764 students registering and participating in the quiz at the Taluka/District and State Level.

Organised by the Gujarat Council on Science and Technology and Gujarat Science City, both working under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, the Gujarat STEM Quiz is in its second edition, offering a platform to engage, explore, and experience the STEM subject in an interesting and exciting way.

The students have a chance to win a prize worth Rs. 2.00 crore along with lots of incentive to attend boot camps as well as visit premier scientific organisations including the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), National Forensic Science University, and Gujarat Science City, which will inspire their curiosity for lifelong learning.

The entire quiz has been designed on a dedicated portal at stemquiz.gujarat.gov.in by the technology partners Gujarat Informatics Ltd. (GIL) and Gujarat State Data Centre (GSDC), Gandhinagar.

GUJCOST launched the Gujarat STEM Quiz 2.0 programme on October 29, 2022. It was started with a country-wide outreach and invitation to the students of grades IX to XII from any state, any board, and any language.

Through a series of mock tests and taluka and district-level quizzes, a total of 2734 students are qualified to attend the state-level Gujarat STEM Quiz, which was organised at Gujarat Science City during May 9–12, 2023, as the Gujarat STEM Quiz Festival in physical format.

After the state-level STEM quiz, a total of 940 students have been selected from across the country to participate in the national level and grand finale at Gujarat Science City on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

The grand finale programme has been designed with lots of fun and excitement. In the well-decorated and spacious Vigyan Bhavan, the bright students will have grand prelims with interesting quizzes and finally reach the hot seats in the grand finale show for 90 minutes, which will have lots of thrills, suspense, joy, and excitement.

The students at the Grand Finale will receive high-tech prizes, including touch-screen laptops, tablets, robo-kits, drone-kits, and telescopes, along with their medals and certificates.

The grand finale quiz will be conducted by Mr. Vinay R. Mudaliar, a professional quiz master at The Mind at Mindcogs, Bangalore. DeshGujarat
