Upcoming Bollywood films on Shyamji Krishna Verma and Godhra train massacre announced

Mumbai: Following the success of movies inspired by true events like “Kashmir Files” and “The Kerala Story,” cinema enthusiasts are in for a treat with the upcoming releases of two more films based on real incidents. The first movie, announced on May 28th, titled “The India House,” revolves around the stories of freedom fighters Veer Savarkar and Gujarat-born Shyamji Krishna Verma. On the other hand, another film titled “Accident Or Conspiracy – GODHRA” was announced on Monday and will delve into the tragic events of the 2002 Godhra train massacre, which subsequently led to riots in the state.

The India House

Ram Charan, the star of “RRR,” made an announcement on Sunday about his latest production, “The India House.” Ram Vamsi Krishna, known for his work on movies like “Johaar” and “Bhairava Geetha,” will be directing this pre-independence drama. In this film, Nikhil Siddhartha will portray the role of Siddharth Shiva, while Anupam Khair will be seen as Shyamji Krishna Varma.

The announcement of the project coincided with the 140th birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar, the great freedom fighter. “The India House” marks the first production venture for Ram Charan and Vikram Reddy’s newly launched banner, V Mega Pictures. The project is also associated with Abhishek Agarwal Arts (AAArts), the producer of “The Kashmir Files.”

Anupam Khair will portray the role of Shyamji Krishna Verma in the movie “The India House.” It is noteworthy that as per Shyamji’s last wish, his ashes were brought to independent India by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi. Modi built a replica of India House in Mandvi, Kutch, Gujarat, the hometown of Verma, where the Museum of Revolutionaries stands today.
