Private company’s fuel prices lower by Re one than govt oil companies
May 31, 2023
Gandhinagar: The fuel price available at the petrol pumps of private companies is Re 1 cheaper than those of government oil companies.
There was a time when the price of fuel from private companies used to be Rs 7 higher than government companies. However, due to the decreased international price of crude oil, private companies now sell fuel at a price that is Rs 1 cheaper than government companies. The price of petrol and diesel at the pumps operated by government companies is steady at Rs. 96.15 and Rs. 91.80 since 23rd May last year. Even though international crude oil prices have gone much lower, the benefit is not passed to consumers in India so far.
Currently, approximately 83 lakh litres of petrol and 167 lakh litres of diesel daily are sold in Gujarat. DeshGujarat
