Amreli: In yet another incident of increasing stray dog menace, a three-year-old child playing in a field was mercilessly attacked and killed by a group of five dogs.

The incident occurred in Damnagar, where a tribal family was engaged in agricultural work. The child, who was just three years old, was playing when the dogs pounced on him, knocking him down and inflicting severe bites on his neck, head, and back. The family promptly alerted the police, who promptly arrived at the scene. Despite being immediately rushed to the hospital, the child was declared dead upon arrival.

This family had migrated from the Chotaudepur district to work as agricultural labourers in Amreli, seeking a livelihood in the region. The incident has left the family and the community in shock and grief. DeshGujarat
