Gandhinagar: Kutch – West district police superintendent IPS Saurabh Singh has been transferred and placed under central deputation. He will get an appointment in the Cabinet Secretariat in the executive cadre equivalent to Deputy Secretary. He is likely to work in RAW (Research and Analysis Wing).

Singh is replaced with IPS Karanraj Vaghela who was previously sidelined after Botad hooch tragedy to lead the Protection of Govt Properties group.

Ahmedabad based Sabarmati central Jail’s Superintendent Tejas Patel has been shifted and placed as commandant of SRP group 16 in Bhachau in Kutch. This is considered punishment after several irregularities had emerged in the jail administration. Patel is replaced with IPS Shweta Shrimali who is presently the Superintendent working with Western Railway.
