SG highway based Maruti Nandan restaurant owner in Ahmedabad booked for employing child laborers

Ahmedabad: Chandkheda police in the city have booked the owner of SG highway-based Marutinandan restaurant under IPC section 374 and juvenile justice act section 79 for employing child laborers.
The accused Madansingh Lalsingh Rajput owns the Maruti Nandan Hotel. According to a police complaint filed by Shital Sanjeev Pradip who operates the Bachpan Bachao organization, the city police crime branch’s AHTU was contacted for help to save children working in the restaurant, following which two constables were allocated for the raid.
As many as six children were found working in Maruti Nandan as laborers. They were Prakash Rajput(17)k, Shankarlal Mina(17), Manmohan Mina(17), Kusshalsingh Rajput(17), Amitkumar Verma(17), Jay Leuva(14). All were from Rajasthan and assured Rs. 8,000 salary per month.
