SOG nabs 2 drug peddlers; seizes MD drugs worth Rs 12.95 lakh

Ahmedabad: The Special Operations Group (SOG) team has nabbed two alleged drug peddlers who were transporting Mephedrone (MD) drugs worth Rs 12.95 lakh from Mumbai to Ahmedabad.
The SOG team received information that the accused individuals, identified as Allarakha alias Adu Shaikh and his accomplice Shahnavaz alias Kannu, would be passing through the express highway after obtaining the drugs. The SOG team set up surveillance and successfully caught the two suspects. The police discovered drugs worth Rs 12.95 lakh in their possession. It was discovered that Allarakha had previously been apprehended in a drug-related case but had jumped parole.
During the subsequent inquiry, it was revealed that they had purchased the drugs from Adnan Fazalkhan, a resident of Kurla, Mumbai, with the intention of retailing them in Ahmedabad.
