Surat Police nabs one for allegedly coercing Hindu female to marry him

Surat: The Lal Gate Police have nabbed a man named Yousuf Khan on charges of allegedly coercing his Hindu female colleague to enter into a marital relationship.
The victim who belongs to scheduled caste, and resided in the Ved Road area, had been employed at a medical agency located in Lal Gate. Her colleague, the accused, had been pressuring her to marry him for the past three months. He resorted to making threats, stating that he would kill the woman if she refused to comply with his demands. Finally, with the support of her family, the female filed a police complaint.
The police have registered a case against the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as under the Atrocity Act. DeshGujarat
