Vanraj Chavda(32), owner of a paan shop in the Sorathiyawadi Circle, also went to the toilet block to relieve himself and saw Sorathiya beating up the toilet in-charge. Chavda asked Sorathiya not to beat the man. This resulted into an argument between Chavda and Sorathiya, and further it became a brawl. Sorathiya took out his licensed revolver and fired one round in the air and at Chavda. Chavda felt a burning sensation on his back but was unhurt. Chavda’s uncle Devraj Chawda snatched the revolver from Sorathiya. The police detained five including Sorathiya and registered a complaint under IPC 304, 504 and prohibition act. A breath analyser test confirmed that Sorathiya was drunk.

Police has also filed a complaint given by Sorathiya against Vanraj Chavda, Devraj Chavda, Dhaval Ahir and four or five other unidentified men under IPC sections 143, 147, 323, 504, and 506(2).
