June 10, 2023
Ahmedabad: Airport police have booked a person for entering the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPI) terminal using a fake flight ticket created by changing the passenger name on an original ticket.
The complaint was filed by CISF constable Bharatkumar Dodiya against a person named Akshaykumar Chaudhari. The complainant asked Akshaykumar Chaudhari to bring the airline staff of his flight with him to exit the airport. However, the accused informed him that the staff refused to accompany him. The complainant with another QRT staff constable, approached the Singapore Airlines check-in counter along with the accused in relation to this matter.
The staff of Singapore Airlines found a ticket with the name “Abhaykumar Chaudhari” instead of “Akshaykumar Chaudhari” for their flight. During the inquiry conducted by CISF inspector Amita Kumari, the accused admitted to altering his brother Abhay’s original ticket and creating a fake ticket with his own name to gain access to the airport for his departure.
