Surat IG forms SIT to probe into Khergam Love Jihad case

Surat: Surat range IGP Piyush Patel has formed a special investigation team (SIT) for the investigation of the rape of a Hindu female by bootlegger Asim Nizam Shaikh.
A complaint was filed against the bootlegger Asim Nizam Shaikh- a father of three children, for the rape of a 21 years old Hindu female of Khergam, Navsari. The accused Asim Nizam Shaikh allegedly got the Hindu female married to his Hindu friend who is accused of a murder case, to avoid being booked for Love Jihad. An SIT is formed for the investigation. The investigation was handed over to Police Inspector PG Chaudhari under the guidance of Navsari DySP Sanjay Rai. Khergam Police Sub Inspector Dharmendrasinh Padheriya and Vansda PSI Jaydipsinh Chavda will also join the investigation. DeshGujarat
